니콘에서 새로운 컨셉의 FX 카메라를 발표하였다. 성능은 거의 D610과 동일한데 디자인만 바꾼 느낌이 든다. DF(Digital Fusion)라는 이름같이 클래식한 디자인과 현재 디지털시스템을 융합했다고 해석된다. 클래식이 컨셉이어서 그런지 모르겠지만 동영상 촬영이 안되는 대신데 이전 구식 니콘 AI 렌즈가 호환이 된다고 한다. 가격은 바디만 $2749으로 좀 비싼면이 없지 않아 있다. (이것때문에 D600이 내려갔으면 하는 마음..)
